We are looking to distribute the film in the educational sector and would be grateful for any information or help with this. Animate Earth is a documentary film written and presented by Dr Stephan Harding, renowned ecologist and colleague of James Lovelock. Stephan puts forward a radical approach to the ecological crisis by arguing that many of the problems we now face stem from having lost our intuitive relationship with nature. Stephan believes that traditional mechanistic science has inadvertently fueled the crisis and that we urgently need to develop an expanded science that cultivates intuitive wisdom alongside rational knowledge so that we can experience everything, from the smallest microbes to our planet’s great life-sustaining cycles, as deeply interconnected. Building on the revolutionary discoveries of James Lovelockʼs Gaia Theory, Stephan goes one step further and explores opportunities to heal our relationship with the Earth through the new discipline of holistic science. The film features interviews with leading environmentalists, scientists and spiritual leaders, including Brian Goodwin, Iain McGilchrist, Fritjof Capra, Vandana Shiva, Jules Cashford and Satish Kumar.
New Forest in Transition : Connecting to our Food (2011 / 20 minutes)
Presented and Produced by Jonathan Blease.
“Connecting to Our Food is an inspirational and informative look at the resurgence of local food activity in the New Forest. The film clearly demonstrates what creativity can spring from a passion for community-sourced produce, and how reconnecting with our food is at the fulcrum of our relationship to our own health, our home planet and each other. I hope that this film is shown far and wide, and that it helps to generate more of the local food enthusiasm that it captures so well!”--Tamzin Pinkerton, co-author with Rob Hopkins of Local Food, How to Make it Happen in your Community.

Breath
Following the success of Alchemy, Eva is working on a documentary about the broader concept of breath as the basis for all of life. Breath is a fundamental element of life and by definition, of spiritual as well as biological importance for almost all human societies. The film will be sensual in character and use the nature of the medium to communicate its message more than dialogue. Directed by Eva Bakkeslett. Camera Clive Ardagh
Gentle Actions
was an art & ecology happening with an experimental visual framework at the gallery Kunstnerenes Hus in Oslo/Norway which ran from 23 October till 14 November 2010. It was an interactive meeting place which combined the transformatory power of art with interdisciplinary ecology. Gentle Actions function as a social sculpture and gather people engaged in social transformations within the arts, culture, humanities, social and nature based academia together with cultural activists and an actively engaged public. Gentle Actions form an interactive and collaborative platform that includes dialogues and lectures, various presentations, workshops, discussions, and an extensive film program curated by Oslo Dokumentarkino in collaboration with Gentle Actions. The exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience is integral to the project. In this way we hope that Gentle Actions will generate new ways of thinking and acting to face the enormous challenges we are facing on earth at this moment. Gentle Actions is a social sculpture shaped by Anne Karin Jortveit and Eva Bakkeslett, in collaboration with the gallery Kunstnernes Hus and Oslo Dokumentarkino.
